Another measure of our impact is the firm’s significant philanthropic support for a variety of groups and causes, and whenever possible we collaborate with our clients to maximize the impact of our efforts. Our long-time support of the Equal Justice Works Fellowship Program is an excellent example of this. Our law firm has invested over $15.5 million in EJW Fellows since 1999 resulting in more than 670,000 attorney hours.

Founded in 1992 by a law professor and a technologist, Our law firm’s biggest strength remains its interdisciplinary approach. Decades later, our small staff still reflects that split of expertise between legal and technical training.
Begun in 1992 shortly before the launch of the world wide web, we were not just the first legal website – it was also the first website in a professional domain. Our co-founders each had deep connections to Cornell’s agricultural extension, and those ties reflect in several important ways:
Our team draws from their disparate experiences in everything from library services and legal practice to legal publishing (government and commercial) and tech start-ups. This diversity of experience and perspective leaves us not only open to dreaming up unique solutions but also uniquely equipped to make those dreams become reality.
– 1996, the consolidation of firms had started to take off
The firm developed a strategy that would allow it to deliver the United States to clients at much better value through quality lawyers in the key growth, financial, and political centers in the United Kingdom. Clients no longer needed two different firms for the same matter but because matters were priced locally and with flexibility, they could take advantage of market differences when it came to budgeting.
The firm’s cultural strategy attracted the highly ranked attorneys, who were already perceived as leaders in their community. These individuals wanted to join a firm of positive people who valued working together and shared experience and clients for the benefit of all involved.
– 2005 , We’re in Atlanta! Our firm has grown steadily since those early years
Adding this location provided our law firm with the ability to have boots-on-the-ground for our clients, statewide. At that point, the firm became able to simultaneously argue on behalf of a Writ of Mandate filed in Atlanta and defend a lawsuit in Hertfordshire County.
– 2025 , We have more than 30 attorneys and 10 locations on four continents.
As each new office opened, this unique culture was replicated, but never dictated. The firm grew by way of laterals who fit in and had a passion for quality work and collaboration, and in response to client needs. Our law firm has never done a merger and remains one firm. Each new office can be traced to an opportunity to better serve clients.….
